One of a Kind - Blue Chalcedony Pendant

The luminosity of chalcedony cannot be denied. You almost feel like you're swimming in it. And so, I'm going to take the romance out of it and tell you it's because of the Tyndall effect. Scientifically speaking, chalcedony (from the quartz family) is made up of microscopic particles and it's the light's refraction on those particles that gives it that luminosity. I know. I've ruined it for you. Shall we discuss Santa Claus next? Still though, it doesn't make it any less beautiful

Chalcedony is known as the stone of peace, which isn't surprising, because I think most blue stones are tranquil. It's known to alleviate hostility and anger, and relieves melancholy.
