Matisse - Enamel
Inspired by the work of Henri Matisse, this collection takes shapes evocative of nature, and infuses them with color. Each piece is hand-sawn from copper, and then layered with glass powder, kiln-fired, and then layered again, to create the multidimensional colors. I so enjoy the rhythmic sawing of metal; it's meditative and calming.
